Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications. You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets. Pocahontas is a 7-month-old female Lab mix who was brought to PAHS as a stray. She is jet black and a beautiful young dog. Pocahontas weighs 36 pounds so she is a medium sized dog. She is playful and energetic but not overly so. Labs make great family dogs and Pocahontas would be a perfect example of a great family dog. She would be good with other dogs and children. If you are looking for a great young dog to add to your family--come meet Pocahontas. Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75. All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under "special needs" our dogs have screened heart worm negative. *****Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.
