Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Alpha is a 10 yo male Dalmatian. He’s gentle around kids. Love to meet new people that he would lick and hug them. Enjoys the outdoors. He has no medical conditions and is up to date with his vaccines. All medical records will be provided. He is neutered and has been living indoors as part of the family He was originally brought from Australia and has lived in Ohio for the past 9 years. Due to an immediate relocation back to Australia and complications with the import requirements, sadly, the owners is unable to take him back with them. This is a very difficult decision, but the priority is finding him a safe, loving home where he can be cared for and comfortable. A little about him: he is a sweet, loyal companion with a calm routine. He eats twice daily and usually needs to go outside to potty after meals. He follows simple commands, including “stay,” “wait,” “down,” “go,” and “off.” He enjoys being outside, going for walks, and spending time with people. He walks on leash and would do best in a home that can provide regular companionship, gentle exercise, structure, and attention. He has a charming personality and loves food treats. He especially loves yogurt and will quietly stare at you while you’re eating it, hoping for a little taste. He also enjoys fruits and crunchy vegetables. **** Breed: Dalmatian **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2197496&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
