Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (short coat). Location: Blakeslee, PA Krunch is approximately 12 weeks old and looking to separate the puppy people from the pretenders He is all puppy all the time, bitey, fast, smart, loud, fun, brave, playful and did I say bitey? Training with Krunch is super rewarding, he picks up on behaviors very quickly and will make you look like a great trainer. Until he outsmarts you of course. This guy has great potential to be a hobby-level sport dog. He is pretty brave and bold, has great handler focus, loves tugging and can be as neutral as a 12 week old puppy can be in a variety of new situations so far. He has lots of energy and one of his biggest struggles is settling outside a crate. He can go for hours without taking a nap so unless you want a dog that can run ultramarathons at 4 months old and Tasmanian devil level destroy your house, he will need continued practice settling or regular crate time. Potty training and crate training are ongoing and going well. He sleeps pretty consistently from 10-5:30 quietly. Krunch lives with 4 other dogs ranging from 5 years old to 13 years old. He is learning the rules but he can be quite the pest. He doesn’t back down and loves to play if the other dogs are willing to play with him. He does not live with cats but I expect he will chase them. No children under 12 years old for this guy for now. Continued training will be an absolute must. Personally I think Krunch is a blast and hes ready to take everything not bolted down and turn it into his new favorite chew toy if you think you’re ready for him Blakeslee PA Tinyheelergmail

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
