Dog Breed: Boxer / American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Looking for your number one best friend? Well… here he is. Meet Ace! Ace is approximately 2 years old and truly just wants someone to love. He’s a big sweetheart, house trained, knows sit, down, and stay, and we’re currently working on “paw” — he’s trying his best. He absolutely LOVES car rides, his ball, bones, naps, and being wherever his people are. He’s the kind of dog that will happily be your exercise buddy during the day and your couch companion by night. Ace also loves playing fetch… but there’s one small issue: he hasn’t quite figured out that he has to DROP the ball for us to throw it again I swear he’s smart — he just thinks keeping the ball is part of the game. When it’s nap time, Ace loves having a pillow to bite on because it comforts him and helps ease some anxiety from his past. He was previously neglected and extremely underweight, but he’s now a healthy 48 pounds and thriving. He’s incredibly loyal, full of personality, and ready for a family of his own. We’re not sure how he feels about cats yet, but he does enjoy chasing chickens around the yard — mostly out of curiosity once he catches up to them.
