What her life was like before rescue, we will never know but her sweet disposition remains steady. She is a mixed breed young girl around a year old and a medium sized gal at around 45 pounds. She is a super friendly girl who does well with other dogs and children but her relationship status with cats is unknown. A young girl needs her entertainment, and playtime is a great way to burn up energy and to pass time. Primrose enjoys activities involving play and socialization. She will benefit from a fairly active family that can provide her with a steady flow of fun activities and snuggles in the downtime. She is ready to make a great impression, so Primrose is working on her house, crate and leash training. She knows that her family will be by her side to assist her in every step of the way. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
