Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Meet Airy! This little adventurer is starting to discover the big, exciting world—especially if her favorite human is nearby cheering her on. She’s getting braver outside every day… and has developed a very refined taste for worms (yes, really). If you try to catch her, be prepared—she’ll turn it into a full-on game of chase and love every second of it, zooming around like a happy little maniac. She’s all about quick “drive-by” pets—just a little hello before she’s off on her next mission. Snuggles? Maybe later. Right now, she has important exploring to do and places to be! If you’re looking for a playful, silly, full-of-life puppy who will keep you smiling and on your toes, she might just be your perfect match! She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Airy is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT AIRY!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
