Dog Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier (medium coat). MEET LUTHER! Luther is a goofy, fun loving, gentle soul. He is happy to lay next to you or go on a nice walk. He is eager to please and food motivated. He gets a long very well with other dogs as well as all humans. He is enjoying lots of play time and socialization in a wonderful foster home. His foster says anybody would be lucky to have this sweet boy. My friends describe me as: Goofy, Playful, Eager to Please Luther is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. In terms of temperament, AmStaffs are generally intelligent, confident, and highly loyal to their families. They possess a strong desire to please and can be quite affectionate. While they can make excellent family companions and often get along well with children, early socialization and consistent training are crucial due to their strength and inherent protective instincts. They are adaptable and can thrive in various living situations, including apartments, as long as they receive adequate daily exercise and mental stimulation. Health-wise, they are generally robust, but some individuals may be prone to hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions.
