A sweet, playful pup who’s really starting to come into his own!When Zephyr first arrived, he was a bit shy, but with time, patience, and positive experiences, his confidence has grown beautifully. These days, he’s showing off a more relaxed, happy side and proving he’s ready to take on the world (one sniff at a time!).On walks, Zephyr is all about the adventure. He’s a curious, sniff-oriented explorer with a medium pull, eager to check out every interesting scent along the way. In the yard, he’s more easygoing and independent, happily enjoying a few playful zoomies before settling in for some chill time.Zephyr is very treat-motivated and already knows “sit,” “lay down,” “shake,” and “wait”—what a smart guy! He enjoys pets and attention, though he may get a little excited when the treats disappear (understandable!), but he redirects easily.With his balanced energy, growing confidence, and friendly nature, Zephyr is an adaptable boy who’s ready to keep blossoming in a loving home. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
