Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). #A5767132 Cliff is a 7-year-old gray and white Pitbull with the sweetest personality and a heart full of love. This 56lb neutered boy came in as a stray and is facing several medical challenges, including vestibular disease and other health concerns, but he hasn’t let that stop him from being affectionate, smart, and eager to connect. Cliff walks nicely on leash, appears housebroken, and is cordial with other dogs. He’s treat motivated, knows “sit,” and seems very receptive to training and attention. Even through everything he’s been through, Cliff remains gentle, loving, and hopeful. He’s available for adoption on a health waiver and deserves a soft place to land where he can be comfortable, cared for, and cherished. -7 year old, neutered male, 56lbs -Pitbull, gray and white coat -Sweet, affectionate, and smart -Treat motivated, knows “sit” -Walks well on leash -Housebroken, medium energy -Cordial with other dogs -Adoptable on health waiver -Deserves comfort, love, and a second chance CLIFF’S VIDEO: youtube/shorts/LhhUJ64N3PM For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaaunitedhopeforanimals Photo Credit Rafael ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
