Dog Breed: Great Dane / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed. We haven’t heard many stories quite this heartbreaking. Stella and Georgie are 2 year old Great Dane/Poodle mixes who suddenly lost everything after their owner tragically passed away by suicide. In the middle of grief, the owner’s mother made the heartbreaking decision to surrender them to the shelter. After everything they went through, they are just hoping to find their forever home together. Stella (75 lbs) and Georgie (80 lbs) are healthy, spayed/neutered, and truly EXCELLENT dogs. They are loving, affectionate, gentle souls. Stella is the more playful one, she may jump up a little when she gets excited because she loves people so much. Georgie is more mellow, calm, and low key. Together, they complement each other perfectly. Big dogs are already overlooked far too often, and bonded pairs have it even harder. But we know someone out there has room in their heart and home for them.
