Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed (medium coat). NJ Dozzer is a precious pup who arrived in NJ from Louisiana on 6/27. Meet Dozzer — scruffy, spunky, and full of life Dozzer came to us with his buddy Ariel after their mom became too sick to care for them. Now he’s ready to turn the page and find a forever home where his personality can truly shine. Dozzer can be timid at first, but if you’ve got hands, he’s ready for pets. He enjoys sitting on laps, and also is happy watching you from nearby on the floor or couch. He is doing well in his foster home with lots of other dogs, including puppies. He hasn't played much with any of the other dogs yet. He is a little hand-shy so far, so we have him dragging a leash so that we're not grabbing for him. He's met neighborhood children and is timid initially, but he has let them pet him if they move slowly. Dozzer does not seem to be housetrained, but he is great in a crate. He's great on a leash and enjoys walks. If you’re looking for a best friend who will greet every day (and you) with joy, Dozzer is your guy. He’s ready for his fresh start — could it be with you? Dozzer is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. His adoption donation is $500. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
