After a difficult start in life, Lola is now getting the chance every dog deserves — a future filled with kindness, stability, and love. Though she’s small in size, Lola has a quiet strength about her. She enjoys gentle affection, cozy places to rest, and simply being close to people who make her feel secure. As she settles in, her playful and loving side continues to shine through more each day. ✨ At three years old, Lola is at a wonderful age — young enough for adventures, but mature enough to appreciate calm companionship and the comfort of a loving home. She’s looking for a patient foster or forever family willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to fully blossom. Adoption Information Lola’s adoption fee is $1,095, a non-refundable donation that helps support ongoing rescue efforts and save more dogs in need. It includes: • Spay • Vaccinations • Microchip • Boarding and daily care • Health certificate • Transport to Seattle ✈️ A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you may bring your own or purchase one from us. Breed, age, and weight are best estimates and cannot be guaranteed. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every adoption creates space for another dog to be rescued. Thank you for choosing rescue and giving Lola the beautiful future she’s been waiting for.

Overview:
The Chihuahua, a captivating breed known for its diminutive size, boasts an ancient and somewhat mysterious origin, with most theories pointing to Mexico as its birthplace, potentially descending from the "Techichi," a small companion dog of the Toltec civilization. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
