My name is Thembi and I am so very excited to be ready to find a family of my very own. I am a 6 month old take-your-best-guess mix (maybe Yorkie, Norfolk or Cairn Terrier??). My fur is soft and I don’t shed much if at all. Wouldn’t it be awesome if a DNA test said I was a distant relative of Toto from the Wizard of Oz? Stranger things have happened! I am a little female and weigh in around 5 pounds so the puppy calculator says I should top out at around 10 to 12 pounds when I am full grown. I am good with the other dogs and get along with the resident cat. My foster Mom says I am a really special soul and would love another small dog to teach me the rules of my new home and be a playmate. I love to wrestle with the other small dog here in my foster home. I love, love, love to snuggle, I am an expert zoomie runner so foster Mom says I need a fenced yard. I am working really hard on potty training and do very well if kept on a schedule. Because the potty training is a work in progress, someone who works from home, works part time, a stay at home Mom or someone who is retired will be an extra bonus for me. I sleep all night in my crate but will whine a little at the start. I am learning all about doggie toys and chews and need to be reminded when I chew on something that is not for me so I already know the NO command! I am a little afraid of a leash so that will be an activity we can work on together and do some cozy bonding.
