Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. She’s the sweetest dog & so unbothered by anything! I’ve seen her personality come out some within the past month and she’s such a happy dog. She LOVES running and jumping, and is obsessed with the dog park Ive grown very attached but want her to be in a home where she can be cared for in the best way possible!! She’s sweet to everyone and walks on leash very nicely. She would do wonderfully in a home with patient owners and lots of space. I was told she was potty trained when adopted but she isn’t, and unfortunately I don’t have the ability to potty train due to personal issues. She has a hard time with pottying outside and when I first adopted her, she didn’t even seem to understand the concept. She responds to “go potty” now when outside, but avoiding accidents in the house has been difficult. Overall, a sweetie who needs more time and training than I can provide **** Breed: Mini Pitt Mix **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2197962&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
