Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Terrier / Mixed. Meet Fendi! Fendi is a 13-week-old floppy-eared puppy who is ready for a fresh start in life. She is reportedly a shepherd, husky, and pit terrier mix, and she is looking for a home where she can grow, learn, and thrive. This sweet girl would much rather be playing with you—or another dog—than sitting in the shelter. She is very dog-friendly and would love a canine companion to help her burn off puppy energy. Fendi is also a cuddle bug who adores attention and will happily cover you in kisses if you let her. Fendi has not been formally cat-tested, but she has previously lived with cats and showed a strong interest in wanting to play. She may do best with dog-savvy cats. As a young puppy, she will need continued house training, as well as plenty of patience and consistency—but she is eager and ready to learn. This fun-loving girl is ready to be your furever adventure buddy. Current Weight: 30lbs Adoption Fee: $325 To apply: fcrscpa/adopt

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
