Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Daisy is 1 yr old, rescued her around 10/12 weeks old. We have two kids (10 & 5 yrs old), two rescued cats, and two very old small dogs. She is great with everyone, plays very well and is so sweet. However, she needs to be in a single dog home where she is the only one due to food and territorial aggression. She is very protective of her spaces when it comes to other animals and she bit my smallest 5 lb dog a couple weeks ago. He is fine now, but it was scary. Daisy is my 10 yr old daughter’s dog (lives in my daughter’s room and sleeps with her) and we hate to lose her but it is too stressful to keep her. She is so friendly and loves walks and playing fetch. She is potty trained, knows basic commands, enjoys going to dog parks to play with other dogs, and is a wonderful guard dog. She is a sweet angel who loves attention and cuddles. I really want her to find an amazing home with someone who will love her so much. She is spayed and up to date on rabies. She also has a harness and leash, along with an e-collar trainer (shock/vibrating collar). :) **** Breed: Shepherd mix **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2197514&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
