Description
Dog Breed: Boxer (short coat). ♥️Some happy and some sad updates♥️ We got the mumma! Thanks to our amazing trappers and volunteers!! One puppy didn't make it and we are trying still for the remaining. None of this is fun ,even with a happy ending. It's horrible the way these dogs are treated. Thank you all for caring about them and helping us help them ********************** These 2 boxers and their puppies were dumped. One was shot and killed. The other is out there confused, terrified ,and protecting her puppies. We need to get a trapper and get the remaining dogs before the gunman does. They've been hiding and we are glad for that. They were spotted today which means we need to move NOW and get them to safety. Anything helps. chboxerrescue/donate/ VENMO: CHBR-rescue1 (0645) ZELLE: chbrescueyahoo PAYPAL: retta4603yahoo CHECKS: Chelsea’s Hope Boxer Rescue, 18 Lancelot Court, Monticello, NY 12701

Overview:
The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired dog breed of German origin, known for its distinctive appearance and vibrant personality. Physically, Boxers possess a strong, athletic build with a characteristic square head, an undershot jaw, and often a docked tail and cropped ears (though these practices are becoming less common). Their short, glossy coat typically comes in fawn or brindle, often with white markings. Temperamentally, Boxers are renowned for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them fantastic companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and can be playful and patient with children, making them excellent family pets. While their energy levels require regular exercise, their adaptability means they can adjust to apartment living if their activity needs are consistently met. However, potential owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to some cancers, heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, and hip dysplasia, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
