Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). A5771160 Meet Hansel , a 6-month-old Pitbull puppy who is the definition of a cutie patootie! Still growing into his long, gangly legs, he’s got a perky little face, floppy ears, a sweet smile, and the most adorable round puppy tummy. Like any youngster, Hansel will need the puppy basics - leash training, potty training, commands, and continued socialization - but he’s got all the right ingredients to grow into an amazing companion. He’s incredibly sweet, super playful, and full of that joyful puppy energy that makes every day brighter. This enthusiastic little guy finds happiness in the simplest things and is guaranteed to keep you smiling 24/7. If you’re ready for a lifetime of love, laughs, and puppy antics, Hansel is your boy! -6 month old black and white Pitbull puppy -21 pound male - may need to be neutered upon adoption, but the shelter can likely help with this! (may also be neutered later, when he is closer to his full adult size - a vet can advise) -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so other than the neuter, ready to go home with you today! -super sweet, super enthusiastic pup, always ready to romp around and have a fun time -needs all the puppy basics, but with the right investment, he’ll be the perfect pet! -very friendly and easygoing with other pups, so would make a fabulous little brother to your existing pets HANSEL’S VIDEO: youtube/shorts/zSV For more information, contact volunteer Lor at lorunitedhopeforanimals Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/ Use their unique ID NUMBER. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
