Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Schnauzer / Mixed. Meet Ducky – 6-Month-Old Schnauzer Mix Ducky's story began in an industrial park in Los Angeles, where she was found abandoned and terrified. When she first came to us, she was so scared that she was almost untouchable. It was heartbreaking to see how little trust she had in the world. But Ducky has come such a long way. With patience, kindness, and love, she has learned that people can be safe. While she is still shy and cautious in new situations, she is becoming more trusting every day and has revealed what a truly sweet and loving girl she is. Once she feels comfortable, Ducky's gentle nature shines through, and she forms deep bonds with the people she trusts. Ducky will need a patient adopter who understands that she may need time to adjust to a new home and routine. The reward for that patience is a loyal, affectionate companion who is ready to continue her journey with someone who will help her build confidence and feel secure.Ducky is approximately 6 months old, weighs 12 pounds, and is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. Adoption fee: $450Applications can be found at .secondleashonlife. Ducky has already overcome so much. Now she's looking for a forever family to show her that she'll never be abandoned again. .instagram/p/DW-CbuRASN3/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
