Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed. Pedro is an 8-year-old sweetheart with the biggest personality packed into a lovable package. Despite being blind, Pedro navigates the world with remarkable confidence and has an incredible talent for finding his people—he’ll locate you so quickly, you’d never know he couldn’t see! Once he does, he’ll politely dig at your leg to let you know he’s found you, and then it’s all about snuggles, pets, and attention—he absolutely adores being near his humans. Pedro is a social pup who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, sometimes enjoying a little playtime with his furry friends. While he’s gaining confidence with every step, Pedro is still adjusting to his blindness, which can make loud noises outdoors a bit startling. For this reason, his ideal home would have a secure, fenced-in yard, where he can safely explore and enjoy his outdoor time. Leash walks are still part of his routine, but most of his outdoor adventures are best enjoyed in the safety of a fenced area as he continues to build his confidence. We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting. Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match.
