Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Adoption Fee: Paid. 5 years old (estimated) Spayed Female 40 lbs. Has done well with other dogs No known experience with cats or kids Meet Peaches, a girl who is every bit as sweet as her name! This lovable pup has a special obsession with toys and can often be found proudly carrying one around in her mouth, complete with an adorable full-body wiggle as if her toys are her precious babies. Peaches has a gentle, affectionate personality and is always happy to curl up for a good cuddle session followed by a cozy nap. When she's not snuggling, she enjoys getting out for walks and is a wonderful companion on leash, strolling along nicely while taking in the sights and smells around her. With her sweet nature, quirky toy-loving habits, and love for both adventures and relaxation, Peaches is sure to bring endless smiles and companionship to her forever family. Peaches' adoption fee had been paid by a generous member of our community! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
