This tiny Chihuahua packs a whole lot of personality into his little frame. At 4 years old, Barnaby has already overcome more than his fair share of challenges. He arrived at the shelter in August 2025 after being hit by a car. Thanks to medical care, determination, and his resilient spirit, he made a full recovery and was adopted into a home of his own. Unfortunately, Barnaby recently found himself back at the shelter after being returned for being `bitey.` But here's the thing about Barnaby: he isn't looking for just any home—he's looking for the right home.Barnaby thrives when life is calm, predictable, and secure. Like many Chihuahuas, he can be sensitive to stress and uncertainty. When he feels safe and understands what to expect, his true personality shines. He absolutely adores the volunteers at the shelter and, after being away for nine months, remembered many of them the moment he returned. That kind of loyalty and connection says a lot about this little guy's heart. Barnaby is a favorite among the volunteers for a reason. He's funny, smart, spirited, and deeply devoted to the people he trusts. He needs an adopter who understands Chihuahua behavior and is willing to provide the patience, consistency, love, and security he deserves.
