Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Mixed (medium coat). My name is Lennox!! I'm a sweet big guy that just needs an adjustment period before I feel completely comfortable. It takes some time to come out of my shell but I love people, other dogs and playing in the water once comfortable. I enjoy being around you but being in and out of the shelters has taken a toll on me... I'm still young and haven't had a a family to call my own since I was a puppy. Someone please be my first forever family!

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
