Description
Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Hi, I’m Squeeks… and yes, I definitely live up to the name I’m a 7-month-old cattle dog mix with lots of puppy energy and a big personality to match. I weigh about 35 pounds right now, and I’m still growing into my paws. My favourite things? Playing, running, and being right next to my humans. I love attention—if you’re giving it, I’m taking it. Toys are great, other dogs are even better, and if there’s a chance to play, I’m all in. I get along really well with other dogs and would love a playful buddy, but I’m just as happy soaking up all the love from my people. I’ve got that classic “shadow dog” energy. Where you go, I go. Since I’m still a puppy, I’ve got lots of energy to burn, so my dream home would be with a family who wants a companion for walks, adventures, and maybe even a little exploring. After all that fun, I’m more than happy to settle in for some cuddles. I’m still learning the ropes, so I’ll need a family that’s patient and ready to keep teaching me as I grow but I’m smart, eager, and ready to be your best friend. If you’re looking for a fun, energetic, loving pup who will keep you on your toes (and make you laugh along the way)… I’m your guy. Apply today at bit.ly//RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
