Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 550. Hi I’m Linus! But you can call me NoNo, HEY, PupPup, Drop That, Git Back Here, What’s In Your Mouth or my favorite NoNo! I am a lil bundle of smart, cute, sweet & a tad sassy all rolled into one! I love all of the people that enter my foster home and I quickly offer kisses as well as accept hugs & pets! I am great with Violett, the resident dog at my foster home, with whom I love to run, play or snuggle. My other bestie is Stormy, the sweet, old, blind cat at my foster home. We hang out & snuggle all the time. When I’m not focusing on being devilishly handsome, I am working hard on potty training and learning some basic commands. All at my own pace you know… we don’t want to rush perfection. I sleep quietly, enclosed in the laundry room in my foster home at night and when my foster family is away (after a short verbal rant of protest of course). The people around me have little background and cannot guarantee my breed make up, but they’re guessing me to be a small terrier & perhaps beagle mix. This, based only on my ravishingly good looks and physical features. So listen, you’re looking for the cutest & best dog ever born! I’m your man and I’m prepared to commit to a life time of unconditional love, snuggles & hours of entertainment each and every day. Let’s get together! If you think that Linus would be a wonderful addition to your family, have fallen under the spell of his adorable gaze and are unable to control the urge to reach out and hug him… pleased complete our Adoption Application at .starfishanimalrescue/adopt/dog-adoption-application. Don’t walk, RUN! Linus cannot wait to meet you!♥️ If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: .starfishanimalrescue/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will be in touch! The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to ensure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe the breed, since our pups all come from shelters, we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *Please note that we are a foster home-based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
