Angelito is a sweet, spunky puppy who is wise beyond his months. He’s great with other dogs, enjoys being outside, rides well in the car, and is making great progress with potty training. One of Angelito’s best qualities is how well he does in his crate. He sleeps through the night without whining and settles nicely in his crate while his foster mom is at work. While he’s still a little shy with new people, Angelito gets braver every day and would likely thrive in a home with another friendly dog to help show him the world isn’t so scary. He’s already becoming comfortable with everyday noises and new experiences, and it’s been so rewarding to watch his personality blossom. If you’re looking for a gentle, lovable puppy with plenty of potential, Angelito might be your perfect match. His adoption fee is $350. A refundable training deposit of $100 will be also due upon adoption. Training must be provided in a timely fashion to ensure our pups become the best canine citizens. The training deposit will be refundable within 3 months of the adoption date. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to .secondchancedogrescue and complete an application today! All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
