This sweet Pit Bull mix came to us as a stray, so her past is a mystery, but one thing is crystal clearâAriel absolutely loves people. Everyone she meets is a potential new best friend, and she's always ready to soak up as much attention and affection as possible.Ariel is still very much a puppy at heart. She has lots of energy, excitement, and enthusiasm for life, which means she'll thrive with a family committed to continuing her training and helping her learn good manners. In return, you'll get a fun-loving, loyal companion who is always ready for her next adventure.So far, Ariel's favorite things include long walks, peanut butter-filled treats, Kong toys, and curling up next to her favorite people on the couch after a day of fun. She's happiest when she's included in the action and spending time with those she loves.Because Ariel came to us as a stray, her history is largely unknown. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
