Description
Dog Breed: Husky / Pomeranian / Mixed. Meet Tigger – A Brave Boy Looking for a Patient, Understanding Home ❤️ Tigger is a 6.5-year-old Husky/Pomeranian mix who is discovering what life is like beyond being used for breeding. Every day brings new experiences, new sights, and new lessons as he learns what many dogs take for granted. This sweet boy is still figuring out things like walking on a leash, navigating stairs, and understanding all the normal routines of family life. There is so much for him to process, and while it can be overwhelming at times, it has been incredibly rewarding to watch his confidence slowly grow. Tigger will thrive in a home that understands that slow and steady wins the race. He needs patient adopters who can provide routine, structure, and gentle guidance as he continues to come out of his shell. The progress he makes may be small at times, but every step forward is worth celebrating. So far, Tigger has been non-reactive to the dogs he has met and been around. He is learning that the world can be a safe and happy place, and it's wonderful to see his personality beginning to shine through. Are you ready to open your heart and home to a dog who is just beginning his journey? Tigger is waiting for someone who will give him the time, understanding, and love he deserves. Watching him blossom into the dog he was always meant to be is truly something special. Could you be the one to help Tigger write his next chapter? ❤️ We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogsccrcdogs with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at .ccrcdogs, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Pomsky, a charming designer breed, is a delightful mix of the intelligent Siberian Husky and the spirited Pomeranian. Originating in the early 2010s, their popularity rapidly surged due to their captivating appearance. Physically, Pomskies are typically medium-sized, weighing between 10-35 pounds, boasting a thick, fluffy double coat that comes in a wide array of colors and patterns, often resembling a miniature Husky. Their eyes can be a striking blue, brown, or even heterochromatic. Temperamentally, they are known for being playful, intelligent, and affectionate, often forming strong bonds with their families. While adaptable, their energy levels mean they thrive with daily exercise and mental stimulation. They can be suitable for families and even apartment living if their exercise needs are consistently met. Potential owners should be aware of possible health concerns common to both parent breeds, such as patellar luxation, eye conditions, and dental issues, making responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups crucial for a long, healthy life.
