Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed. Meet Babydoll — 4 pounds of Chihuahua opinions wrapped in an adorable package! Babydoll is a 9-year-old Chihuahua princess who came to CAWS after her owner passed away. She's looking for a special person who understands that senior ladies sometimes need a little time, patience, and respect before they hand over their hearts. At just under 4 pounds, Babydoll is tiny, but she firmly believes she is royalty and queen of, well, everything! If she's startled or feels uncomfortable, she may express her concerns with a growl and a dramatic lunge. But it’s all for show because, like many seniors, she has very few teeth. Because of this, she'll need an experienced, patient adopter who can appreciate her boundaries and help her feel safe and secure. Babydoll would prefer to be your one and only. She's not particularly interested in sharing her kingdom with other dogs, cats, or children. Her ideal home is a calm, adult-only household where she can relax, be adored, and rule her tiny empire in peace. She would love to live with someone who works from home or is around most of the time, because being left alone is simply beneath a princess of her stature. Babydoll is housetrained and walks nicely on a leash. She is not crate trained—she prefers to oversee her kingdom from the back of the couch or a carefully constructed nest of fluffy blankets. Once you've earned her trust, Babydoll is a charming little companion who bonds deeply with her chosen person. She's proof that good things come in small packages—and that sometimes those packages come with a warning label. If you're looking for a pint-sized best friend with personality, spunk, and a face that's impossible to resist, Babydoll may just be your girl. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
