Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). Adoption Fee: 200.00. Hi, my name is Brinley, but my foster family calls me Benny! I'm a 1½-year-old sweetheart looking for a family of my very own. My journey hasn't always been easy. When my family moved away, they left me behind while I was pregnant. After ending up at animal control, I was lucky enough to find my way into rescue. I gave birth to five beautiful puppies and did my very best to love and care for them. Now that my babies are growing up, it's finally my turn to find the happy ending I deserve. Life is so much better these days! I have a warm home, plenty of food, lots of love, and a cozy crate that I happily sleep in at night and when my foster family is away. I'm house-trained, non-destructive, and perfectly content lounging on a dog bed while my human works and attends conference calls all day. I get along great with dogs of all sizes and don't mind cats at all. One of my favorite things in the world is cuddling and getting pets from my people. My foster mom says I'm a loving, affectionate girl who just wants to be near her family. I'm still working on my manners because I get so excited when my people come home that I sometimes jump up to greet them. The good news is I'm learning quickly that sitting politely earns me all the pets and attention I could ever want! If you're looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with love, I may be the perfect fit. If you have questions or think we might be a match, please submit an application or inquiry. My foster mom would be happy to tell you all about me! Love, Benny Brinley’s adoption fee is $200.00 which includes all shots, spay, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
