Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. No dog deserves to be left abandoned and that is where her rescue story begins. After being used for breeding and being moved from one owner to the next, Lousie was dumped and left to fend for herself. Louise will never again know what it is like not to have a home because she is going on a journey that will bring her to her forever family. She is a mixed breed gal with a very sweet nature. Louise is four years old and weighs around 45 pounds. That makes her a medium sized dog and will pretty much guarantee that there will be some room left over on the sofa. She is a playful and affectionate girl who does well with other dogs, children and adults. Louise will be a great addition to a family that has other dogs, and children. It is not known how she is with cats since she has not been introduced to any since coming into rescue. She enjoys spending time with people as she has a lot of love to give. If you like trips with your canine, Lousie will be happy to tag along. She is a great and pleasant car companion and is ready to go on errands, trips, etc. Louise is a jack of all trades when it comes to his skills. He has learned and mastered his house, crate and leash training. He is proud of his accomplishments and looking forward to impressing his forever family. Although he is housetrained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Louise is ready to live life to the fullest with her family. She dreams of adventures, active play sessions and snoozes on the sofa. The world of possibilities has opened up for Louise, and she is more than willing to take full advantage. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
