Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $400.00. Stop whatever you’re doing... you do not want to miss this guy! Meet Sugar Puff, a 7‑lb, 5‑year‑old poodle who is absolutely going to melt your heart. Sugar Puff is adorable (obviously), but he’s so much more than a cute face. He’s the sweetest boy and loves everyone — dogs, cats, chickens, goats… you name it. Puff would love to find a home with someone that is around a lot, that would take him out into the world (he would love to go on car rides, farmers markets, literally anywhere with you). He’s the ideal mix of active and snuggly. He’ll happily join you for walks and hikes, then curl up for couch snuggles. The icing on the cake... He’s potty trained, crate trained, and does well on leash. This little guy is the full package. If you think Sugar Puff might be the perfect fit for your home, apply today: bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
