Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Hi! I am Minnie and I am the sweetest 10-year-old Pitty. I am a lover and a snuggler who is good with pretty much anything. I've lived with dogs, cats, and kids. I like short walks and toys, and I absolutely LOVE belly rubs. I am house trained and trustworthy to be left in the house when you are gone. I am happy to wait until you can let me out, but also know how to use a dog door. I'm a big fan of lounging on the coach. I had a rough start to life and was used for breeding for a long time, then dropped at the shelter when I was no longer useful for that. My nipples are long on my belly because of it, but it doesn't affect me. I am just a sweet mama looking for people to love on me. And I have a lot of love to give in return. To meet Minnie, please complete an application at caws/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at caws/adoption-application

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
