Dog Breed: Carolina Dog / Mixed (short coat). Monkey is an adorable girl is looking for a new home. She is with our rescue partner in Louisiana. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Meet Monkey - your new best friend with the cutest ears you've ever seen. At just about 1 year old and 50 pounds, Monkey is the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and growing-up charm. She's a Carolina dog with a big personality, a bigger heart and ears that seem to have a mind of their own (seriously.... they're adorable). Monkey is still young, so she brings that fun, slightly bouncy puppy energy to everything she does- whether it's playtime walks, or just being your shadow around the house. She's curious, smart, and always ready for her next adventure or a cozy spot next to you. She's scared of cats. She's looking for a home that will continue to guide her, play with her and love her as she blossoms into an amazing companion Monkey is fixed, is micro-chipped and is up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption donation is $500. Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these animal have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
