Meet Cooper & Buddy — Two Sweet Yorkie Brothers Looking for a Loving New Home Cooper and Buddy are a bonded pair of Yorkshire Terrier brothers searching for a new family to love them as much as they’ve always been loved. Their owner recently moved into an assisted living facility, and while this decision has been heartbreaking, the hope is to find these boys a safe, caring home together if possible. Cooper — 9 years old - Cooper is the calm, gentle soul of the pair. He’s in good health, has a very sweet nature, and absolutely loves cuddling with his people. His favorite place to sleep is curled up beside you in bed. Cooper is easygoing and affectionate, though he does need frequent potty breaks. Buddy — 10 years old, 12 lbs - Buddy is full of personality and energy! He wants to be part of everything you do and keeps life entertaining. He adores his toys and proudly treasures his “prized possessions.” Buddy loves being outdoors, enjoys playing in water, and uses pee pads well. He’s curious, playful, and incredibly loyal. Together, these brothers bring both companionship and joy — cuddles from Cooper and fun-loving energy from Buddy. They are deeply loved dogs who deserve a peaceful, caring next chapter. If you’re looking for devoted companions and have room in your heart and home for two sweet senior Yorkies, Cooper and Buddy would love to meet you. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
