Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). #A5761498 Bear -1-year-9-month-old Siberian Husky, cinnamon/brown & white neutered male – 46 lbs on 3/30 -Return due to bite during play -Likely microchipped (prior return) ✅ Meet Bear — the most gorgeous cinnamon-and-sugar husky boy with a fluffy curly tail and the energy of a thousand sunrises ☀️. He is still very much a puppy at heart and is looking for someone who truly gets that . Bear was returned due to a bite that happened during play — he gets overstimulated and enthusiastic, which is very common in young, high-drive dogs . He's not a bad boy, he's a big personality who needs the right guidance and a fun, active family to channel all that gorgeous energy ‍♂️. He's social with dogs, loves to explore, and is one smart cookie — but he won't be happy left alone outside with nothing to do. Give him a job, a buddy, a fenced yard, and your heart, and he will thrive . Bear is athletic, enthusiastic, and ready to be someone's wild adventure partner ️. Could that be you? Breed overview
Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Husky, Arctic Husky, Chukcha, Chukchi, Chukchi Sled Dog, Sibe, Sibes, Sled Dog, Snow Dog
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
