Dog Breed: Chihuahua. Mishka is a 3.5-year-old Chihuahua with a big personality and an even bigger heart for the people she trusts. While she may be a little shy at first, give her the time and patience she needs and you'll discover a loving, loyal little companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side. She's currently working on her potty training and leash manners and is already crate trained. Mishka enjoys neighborhood walks, relaxing outside on a beautiful day, curling up in your lap, and keeping watch from the window—making sure everyone knows she's on duty! Mishka knows exactly what she likes. She isn't a fan of children and is very selective about her canine friends, so she'd be happiest as the only pet in an adult-only home where she can soak up all of the love and attention for herself. She's a little nervous in new situations, but with a calm, patient adopter who lets her settle in at her own pace, she blossoms into an affectionate, attention-loving shadow. Her ideal home is a quiet one where her person is around most of the day, enjoys taking a few walks together, and understands that building trust takes time. In return, Mishka will reward you with endless companionship, loyal snuggles, and a tiny best friend who will always want to be close. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
