No Want To Know More About Me? Text Petunia to 864-441-9075 for an application (all we know about Petunia is here in this description as of now) or go right here: .carolinapoodlerescue/application Here's Your Quick Peek: Petunia is a toy poodle who spent the early part of her life in a breeding facility, and she’s still learning how to feel safe in the world. She is shy and submissive, but beneath that is a deeply sweet and playful nature. Give her dogs and her personality shines! Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: .carolinapoodlerescue/application/ Must have: Another dog and a quiet, calm home. Exercise: Best with: Dogs. As you can see in her photos, Petunia is VERY timid around people. She's still trying to figure us out! Not ideal for: Children, busy households and families that have never adopted before. Energy level: Lower, but she's also very afraid Petunia needs a quiet, calm, and patient home where she can go at her own pace, along with another confident dog to help guide her. She enjoys playing and running with other dogs, but human interaction is still very scary for her, so a home without children will be best as she continues to build trust. Good with dogs: Yes - she needs them Good with kids: No - they are way too much energy and enthusiasm for this timid girl Cats: Unknown - she's never lived with them. If you have them let us know and we'll test her. Fun fact: The fearful look in her photos says it all. Petunia is still simply learning what life outside of breeding is all about. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them. Overview:
The Miniature Poodle, a charming and intelligent companion, originated in Germany as a water retriever before being refined in France. They are renowned for their elegant appearance, characterized by a distinctive curly coat (often requiring regular grooming to prevent matting), long muzzle, and expressive dark eyes. Standing typically between 10 to 15 inches tall and weighing 10 to 15 pounds, they are a compact yet sturdy breed. Temperamentally, Miniature Poodles are known for their high intelligence, making them highly trainable and eager to please. They are generally lively, affectionate, and can be quite playful, thriving on interaction with their families. Their adaptable nature makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive adequate daily exercise and mental stimulation. They are often excellent with children and other pets when properly socialized. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of breed-specific concerns such as progressive retinal atrophy, luxating patella, and Addison's disease. With their captivating looks and bright minds, the Miniature Poodle makes a delightful and devoted family member.
