Dog Breed: West Highland White Terrier Westie (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 325 plus sales tax. We are an all-volunteer/foster home-based rescue. We DO NOT have a physical shelter. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it. Faye is a very happy active inquisitive girl. She likes to be where the action is. She does great with all the other pups and comes to her name cause she loves affection. Faye is learning her potty training and all the other housecm rules. She is looking for a family that includes her in all the fun. She does need a fenced yard. Faye is about 16 pounds and 6 years old. Her adoption fee is $325 plus tax of $14.63 for a total of $359.63. My adoption fee help with my vetting needs such as HW test, presurgical bloodwork, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay, dental and microchipping.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
