Description
Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $350.00. Four Tiny Heelers, Four Big Personalities! We're four 10-week-old heeler mix puppies looking for our forever homes! We're still working on potty training and all the other important puppy skills, but we're learning fast. We should be about 25–35 pounds when we're grown up, making us the perfect size for adventures and couch cuddles. We get along well with other dogs who tolerate our crazy puppy energy. Let us introduce ourselves! Lurch (mostly black, ~5 lbs, male) I'm the smallest boy, but don't tell me that. I'm a professional cuddler who loves laps and naps, but I can also put my siblings in their place when necessary. Tiny body, big opinions. I am somewhat more cautious than my siblings, but only by about one extra second before I join the party. If one of us sounds like your perfect match, we'd love to meet you! Apply to meet one of us today at bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
