SALT - CHIHUAHUA / MIXED (SHORT COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Meet Salt! This adorable puppy is approximately three-months-old and some sort of Chihuahua mix. Salt and his brother Pepper were taken in from a property in Tonopah that we have been helping for a few years. Both pups were very shy and under-socialized, so we are helping to socialize them while they wait for their forever families to find them. Salt has really blossomed during his time at rescue. He is still initially avoidant of people, but has started to approach us for pets and will allow us to pick him up and hold him. He will need some time to adjust in his new home, but patience (and treats!) are the way to his heart. Other than being a bit shy, Salt is a typical puppy who loves to run and play. He enjoys chasing toys and play-wrestling with the other dogs, especially his pal Pepper. Salt & Pepper don't have to be adopted together, but if you're looking for a duo, these two go great together like, well, salt and pepper! ;-) Remember that while puppies are cute, they are also work! Please make sure you are ready for the commitment of adopting a young dog. Puppies become adult dogs and are meant to be loved for their whole life, not just until they grow up. Puppies will need lots of patience to help them learn their best doggy manners, leash-training, and house-training. Adoption fees are $500 per puppy and include vaccinations, microchip, and eventual alter surgery at the PAWS clinic on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Per our vet, we do not alter puppies until around five months, which helps with hormone development and bone growth.
