Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Meet Blake! Blake is a super sweet, funny Cane Corso boy with a playful personality and a heart full of love! At just about a year old, he’s still very much a teenager—full of energy, curiosity, and always ready for his next adventure. Blake loves spending time with his bestie, Luna, but he would also do well as an only dog or in a home with a female canine companion. He enjoys going for walks, chewing on his Nylabones, and tossing around his favorite Jolly Balls. Like any Cane Corso, Blake will thrive with structure, consistency, and training. Investing in training now will help shape him into the incredible companion he’s meant to be. He is eager to please and loves being with his people. At the end of the day, Blake would be happiest curled up in your lap soaking up all the pets and affection he can get. This handsome boy is ready to find his forever family—could it be yours? Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
