Description
Dog Breed: Border Collie / Australian Shepherd / Mixed. Chloe Bug is a beautiful girl that was brought into us by the dog warden. She is a scared little dog. We do not know her potty training status. She is quite small but is being guessed to be 2 years old. Stray Haven in an effort to help with the overcapacity of one of their partnering rescues, is crossposting the adoptable pets. Ripley County Humane Society is a beautiful non kill campus, comprised of three buildings on 13 sprawling acres in Osgood Indiana. Due to the remote location, they don't show up in the searches commonly made by adopters because they are just outside for the 30 mile radius of Cincinnati OH, Indianapolis IN and Louisville KY. Please take a look at these beautiful babies and fill out an application at the link below OR drop by their physical location which is open every single day from 12-330 for visitors. If you would like to meet any of our pets, they are available for viewing, every single day from noon until 3:30pm. If you have other dogs a meet and greet is required. Calling before a long drive is recommended to confirm availability. Ripley County Humane Society, 1202 W County Rd 150 N, Osgood, IN 47037. 812-689-3773 You can fill out an application online at this link - petstablished/adoption_form/57789/generic .

Breed overview
Overview:
The Border-Aussie, a captivating hybrid of the Australian Shepherd and Border Collie, is a relatively new designer breed gaining popularity for its intelligence and athleticism. Originating from the desire to combine the best traits of its highly trainable parent breeds, the Border-Aussie typically exhibits a medium build with a striking, often bi- or tri-colored coat that can be rough or smooth. Temperamentally, they are incredibly intelligent, energetic, and possess a strong work drive, making them eager to learn and excel in various dog sports. While generally good-natured and loyal, their high energy levels and need for mental stimulation make them best suited for active families or individuals who can provide consistent training and plenty of exercise; they are generally not ideal for apartment living. Potential owners should also be aware of common health concerns inherited from their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions (like Collie Eye Anomaly), and epilepsy.
