Description

Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Wirehaired Fox Terrier. Baby Yoda is a mix of Chihuahua and Wire-Haired Terrier. Now, at 3 months old, she weighs 5-8 pounds and will mature to only 10-15 pounds. (Please do not apply to adopt Baby Yoda if you have small children in your home as they don't always know their own strength and can unintentionally hurt such a small dog.) She’s very sweet, loving, and curious. She is playful and loves other dogs and toys! A great sweetheart! (posted 6/16/26, ME) " "Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Overview:

The Chihuahua, a captivating breed known for its diminutive size, boasts an ancient and somewhat mysterious origin, with most theories pointing to Mexico as its birthplace, potentially descending from the "Techichi," a small companion dog of the Toltec civilization. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
