With her gentle eyes and sweet nature, she has a calm, loving presence that makes everyone she meets fall in love instantly. She weighs around 20 lbs and will probably be 45 - 50+ lbs full grown. Faye is a remarkably well-behaved puppy for her age. She doesn’t nip, listens attentively, and is always curious about the world around her without being overwhelming. She’s eager to learn and is already picking up on basic commands like a pro. This smart girl is both crate trained and potty trained, making her an easy addition to any home. She’s also an excellent walker on a leash—something that’s rare for such a young pup! Faye truly shines when it comes to companionship. She is wonderful with kids of all ages and gets along beautifully with other dogs. Whether it’s playtime or cuddle time, she’s happiest just being with her people. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
