Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie (medium coat). Meet Truffle! This gentle sweetheart is the best little companion anyone could ask for. She is affectionate, easy-going and just darling. She loves all people though has not spent much time with younger kids. She gets along well with other dogs but is happy being the only dog in the home also. Truffle is about 8 years old. She had very bad teeth on arrival with us so she had a thorough dental and lost quite a few teeth but she is feeling good and looking great now. Truffle is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
