Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300. This little girl is Eenie, She is a fun, little firecracker of a puppy who is looking for her forever family to adventure with. She is a 3.5 month old lab mix that is so smart and loves learning new things. This petite girl will probably only be about 40-45 lbs full grown. So a nice size to take on all your fun activities. She's is a very inquisitive, confident puppy that loves to investigate new things and check out new places. She's is doing great with her crate and potty training and is learning her basic commands like sit, down, wait, and off. She is good with other dogs and lives with people but may be better with kids over 5 as she is a crazy puppy that gets very excited to meet kids and may jump on them. She hasn't met cats yet but should be fine to learn her manners with them if introduced properly. Eanie is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
