Dog Breed: Beagle / Basset Hound / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 300.. EEYORE is a sweet beagle/basset hound-type mixed breed boy. He's just about perfect -- long ears, long body, long tail. He's a short sturdy sweetheart of a boy who loves to meet new people, especially new people with treats. Eeyore is 5ish years old and 36 pounds. He came to us from an overcrowded rural shelter. We took one look at that face and said yes. Eeyore just had a dental cleaning with 11 extractions (!) but don't worry, he has plenty of teeth to gobble down his food. If you're looking for a low maintenance companion, Eeyore is your kind of guy. He would love to have a home with a physically fenced yard where he can tool around and sniff and sniff and sniff. If you'd like to meet Eeyore please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Eeyore at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
