Dog Breed: Hound / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Meet Scout! Scout is an approximately 3-month-old Hound mix who is ready to find a family of his own after never being reclaimed. Found as a stray near WoodSpring Suites in Rockwall on 06/19/26, this handsome young pup has traded life on the streets for the safety of the shelter and is now looking forward to his next adventure—a forever home. Like any puppy, Scout is full of potential and at the perfect age to learn, grow, and bond with his new family. He is still discovering the world around him and will need a home that can provide patience, guidance, training, and plenty of positive experiences as he matures. With consistency and love, Scout has all the makings of a wonderful lifelong companion. As a young Hound mix, Scout will likely enjoy exploring, playing, and being part of family activities. He is looking for adopters who understand that puppies require time, commitment, and continued training to help them become well-mannered adult dogs. Scout's adoption fee is $125 and includes his neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, first round of puppy boosters, and first dewormer. His neuter, microchip, and rabies vaccination are scheduled for Wednesday, 06/24/26. This appointment is mandatory and is required to complete his vetting. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
