LOBO - SIBERIAN HUSKY / MIXED (MEDIUM COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Description

Dog Breed: Siberian Husky / Mixed (medium coat). Lobo originally arrived at the shelter as a stray on 5/9/26 and was adopted on 5/31/26. He was returned to the shelter less than a month later due to concerns that developed in the adoptive home involving a child. The adopter reported that Lobo began barking and growling at the child and may have made an attempt to bite; however, no injuries occurred and no bite was reported. Since returning to the shelter, Lobo has been easy to handle for both staff and volunteers. He has demonstrated appropriate behavior during routine care and handling and has not exhibited any concerning behaviors toward shelter personnel. Lobo is also social with other dogs and has shown positive interactions with canine companions. At this time, Lobo's behavioral concerns appear to be specific to the circumstances reported in the home environment. Continued placement efforts should consider a home that can provide appropriate management and supervision while allowing Lobo the opportunity to succeed.
